By the way, this will be Tun Seri Setia Mohd Ali’s third visit to the Sarajevo Business Forum, after he previously attended as the Prime Minister of the Government of Melaka and a senator of the Malaysian Senate.

Apart from the governor, the delegation from Melaka will also include YAB Datuk Seri Utama Sulaiman bin Md Ali, Prime Minister of Melaka State, YB Datuk Seri Ab Rauf bin Yusoh, Senior Minister of State for Industry, Investment and Entrepreneurship Development, YB Datuk Zaidi bin Johari, Secretary of State, and directors and department heads.

This year’s Sarajevo Business Forum will also be attended by the Deputy Minister of Finance of Malaysia, YB Dato Indira Mohd Shahar Abdullah, who will arrive in the capital of BiH with a delegation of 20 businessmen from various government agencies including: Human Life Advancement Foundation, Malaysian Franchise Association, Islamic Tourism Center, MyCretaive Ventures, etc. Business talks and meetings with Malaysian businessmen and regional entrepreneurs will be available on the second day of the SBF, May 12, in the specially built Malaysian Pavilion at the Hills Hotel in Ilidža.

The panel sessions of the 11th SBF will be attended by business and political leaders from  Malaysia, among others:  YAM Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin ibni Tuanku Muhriz, Founder and President of the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS),  YB Dato Seri Zambry bin Abdul Kadir, former Prime Minister of Perak and Chairman of Airports Corporation of Malaysia, YB Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof, former Minister of Enterprise and Chairman of Boustead Holding, YBhg Dato Mohd Razip Hassan, Director General of the Islamic Tourism Center operating under the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia, YBhg Datuk Ahmad Nazim Abdul Rahman, Member of the Energy Commission  from the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water Malaysia and many others.

Special emphasis during the stay of the Malaysian delegation will be on establishing and connecting the tourism industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Namely, the Malaysians expressed great interest in the arrival of their tourists in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Key people from Malaysia will take significant part in the panel on tourism, which SBF is preparing this year in cooperation with the USAID Tourism Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The goal of the panel is to answer questions and give guidelines on how Bosnia and Herzegovina can become a world-wide attractive tourist destination. This will be a continuation of the activities that were started at the previous Sarajevo Business Forums to bring Malaysian tourists to Bosnia and Herzegovina. By the way, according to unofficial data, the number of Malaysian tourists in the last three years, until the emergence of the corona pandemic, was constantly growing and in 2019 reached the number of 100 thousand tourists.
