Valuable donation from BBI Bank and Rijaset Islamic Community: 70,000 KM for 1,000 Ramadan packages

A thousand families across Bosnia and Herzegovina will receive Ramadan packages this year, which were prepared by Bosna Bank International in cooperation with Rijaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Packages with basic food items will be delivered to the most needy citizens via the mufti offices in Mostar, Sarajevo, Tuzla, Zenica, Travnik, Bihać, Banja Luka and Goražde, or the Majlis of the Islamic Community: Ustikolina, Živinice, Turbe, Jezero, Žepče, Maglaj, Doboj and Teslić. .

“As an institution that operates in accordance with ethical and Islamic principles, we transfer BBI values to all local communities where we operate. Therefore, traditionally, during the month of Ramadan, we want to please and support the most sensitive categories of the population, continue to nurture values that encourage mutual help, rapprochement, unification and doing good”, said Amra Babić, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications of BBI Bank.

The total value of this year’s shipment of Ramadan packages, which left Sarajevo this morning for their destinations, is 70,000 KM, and each package contains basic food products.

Head of the Office for Social Care of the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ibrahim ef. Malanović, reminded that this is the ninth year that the package distribution action for returnee families in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been implemented.

“For the ninth year already, we have been organizing the distribution of packages in the area of all eight muftias in Bosnia and Herzegovina with BBI Bank. We would like to thank BBI Bank, which is a socially responsible institution that in this way helps those who need help the most. This year, we have also decided that the packages will go to the returnees who, at this moment, need our help the most. Namely, they still live with the help of their loved ones who are not with them, or with the help of good people. That is why this year we want to visit them in their homes and show them that they are not alone. In this way, we should show solidarity and attention to them and help them not only during Ramadan, but throughout the year,” said Ef. Malanović.
