BBI Bank and the Sarajevo Book Fair 2026: A partnership in the service of knowledge and culture

A book is one of the rare places where society speaks to itself—about identity, values, and the direction in which it is developing. That is why the Sarajevo Book Fair has, for decades, represented more than a cultural event: it is a meeting point of knowledge, ideas, and people who believe that culture remains the foundation of any sustainable development.

This year, BBI Bank is the Gold Sponsor of the Book Fair, organized by KJP Center Skenderija d.o.o. Sarajevo, once again reaffirming its long-term commitment to supporting knowledge and culture as an integral part of its socially responsible activities. This cooperation is a natural expression of the belief that books and knowledge hold a special place in the development of society. Supporting the Book Fair is part of a continuous approach through which BBI Bank contributes to the preservation and development of the cultural space in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the values that connect people.

For BBI Bank, the book symbolizes the very foundation of responsible business—knowledge, long-term thinking, and an understanding of community needs. As an institution operating on the principles of ethics, sustainability, and the creation of lasting value, the Bank recognizes a natural link between financial stability and investment in social values that go beyond the present moment.

Traditionally held at the Skenderija Center, the Book Fair will take place this year from 22 to 27 April 2026, bringing together numerous authors, publishers, and readers from the country and the region, and creating a space where culture remains alive, accessible, and relevant. Through its partnership with this event, BBI Bank supports the idea that books and reading play an important role in building an informed, connected, and responsible society.

Amra Babić, Director of Marketing and Communications at BBI Bank, emphasized that the partnership with the Book Fair represents a natural continuation of the values the Bank consistently nurtures:

“For BBI Bank, social responsibility is not a declarative obligation, but a conscious decision to be part of initiatives with lasting significance. Books are the foundation of knowledge, critical thinking, and dialogue, and the Book Fair is the space where these values meet and are shared. We view our partnership with this event as a continuation of our long-term connection with culture and the community in which we operate.”

Šenaj Avdić, Director of KJP Center Skenderija d.o.o. Sarajevo, highlighted the importance of cooperation with institutions that understand the purpose and broader social significance of the Book Fair:

“The Book Fair has a long tradition and holds a special place in the cultural life of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Partnerships with institutions such as BBI Bank confirm the importance of joint efforts in preserving events that promote knowledge, dialogue, and culture. Such cooperation contributes to the continuity of the Fair and its relevance for new generations.”

The Sarajevo Book Fair 2026, organized by KJP Center Skenderija d.o.o. Sarajevo, will be held at the Skenderija Center from 22 to 27 April 2026, featuring a rich exhibition and accompanying program designed for visitors of all generations.
