Line of the Sarajevo Canton | Bosna Bank International

A favourable financing line was established with mutual efforts of BBI Bank and the Ministry of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton for business entities registered on the territory of this Canton. This line enables businessmen to receive financings at BBI Bank under favourable conditions and subsidized rate of 1.28%.

The right to participation have business entities – natural and legal persons who

  • Small economy entities who permanently perform activities for generating income that are allowed under the law, that is, as stipulated with Law on incentives for development of small economy of the Sarajevo Canton (Official Gazette of the Sarajevo Canton, 29/15),
  • Entities who have seat or business unit on the territory of Sarajevo Canton with clearly determined purpose for utilisation of funds on the territory of the Sarajevo Canton,
  • Entities who belong to “A” category (“B” category is also allowed if it did not occur due to actual default of the client in repayment of loan liabilities), on the basis of current creditworthiness and according to data from the Central Loan Register,
  • Entities whose operations is liquid and with satisfactory creditworthiness.

Funds shall NOT be approved for projects from the following areas:

  • Performance of self-employed hospitality activity;
  • Manufacture of guns and military equipment;
  • Production or export of tobacco products and alcoholic beverages;
  • Primary agricultures;
  • Opening of casinos and other fortune games;
  • Activity according to KD BiH 2010 on the G section – Wholesale and retail sale, repair of motor vehicles;
  • Refinancing of liabilities at commercial banks according to previously assumed loans;
  • Financing of governmental institutions, non-profit foundations, associations and organizations, all types of financial institutions, including the banks;
  • Other activities and purposes determined as unallowed according the Bank’s internal documents.

Financing Line is aimed at providing financial support to small economy entities for more productive operations and growth of economic activities, financings for the working capital, fixed assets and investments (long-term financings).

Long-term annuity financings

  • Long-term annuity financings for fixed assets and capital investments are approved to the period up to seven years (84 months) in the amount up to 1,000,000.00 BAM.
  • At least 70% of granted financing amount is disbursed for the procurement of fixed assets and maximum 30% of granted financing amount is disbursed in the working capital.
  • The amount of subsidised profit rate is 1.28% (4.28% prior to subsidy) for Financing Beneficiaries. Fee for the Application Form processing amounts maximum 0.88% up to the financing amount, and minimum 200.00 BAM.
  • If the Financing Beneficiary documents that granted working capital of this or another bank were spent for the past 12 months in fixed assets/capital investments, and if it is the case of justified and specific cases that shall be considered individually and in documented manner, harmonised and approved with the Ministry of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton, there is the possibility of exception from the structure of the investment ratio in fixed assets and working capital, that is, the amount of allowed financing for the working capital (30%).
  • Special condition for subsidy disbursement is regular settlement of all tax liabilities and due liabilities for financings.
  • Subsidies are disbursed on semi-annual basis, based on previously performed monitoring.

Primary criteria for the selection of the financing line beneficiaries includes:

  • Type of activity (production, service and production-service);
  • Purpose of funds’ utilisation;
  • Number of employees;
  • Increase of employment;
  • Products and services used for achievement of additional value;
  • Sources-manner of project financing;
  • Export-orientation and
  • Formally-legal documents for securing the financing.

Small business entities that enclose the Membership Certificate from the Chamber of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton during their application, shall have advantage during the Application Form processing under the same conditions.

Required documentation for submitting the Application Form for granting the financing from the line of Sarajevo Canton is provided below. In addition, the Bank is entitled to request other documents in accordance with the Bank’s internal documents.

Required documentation for application of legal entities:

  • Application Form defining the purpose, amount and repayment period;
  • Decision on registration in the Court Register with all changes and amendments;
  • Excerpt from the Court Register not older than 90 days;
  • Articles of Association and Articles of Foundation of the company;
  • Certificate on Tax Registration from the Tax Administration - ID number;
  • Certificate on registration of VAT taxpayers – VAT number;
  • Notice from the Statistics Bureau on classification by activities;
  • Certificate from Tax Administration on settled direct taxes, not older than 30 days;
  • Certificate from Indirect Tax Authority on settled indirect taxes, not older than 30 days;
  • Copy ID cards and Residence Certificate of persons authorized for representation;
  • Statement on related entities;
  • Consent for inspection at the Central Loan Register;
  • Report of the External Auditor (only for joint stock companies),
  • Business Plan, projected Balance Sheets and cash flows for the repayment period;
  • Program or Project, Project Summary based on which the Financing Application is submitted;
  • Expected effects in employment pursuant to the Business Plan;
  • Balance Sheet and Income Statement for the previous two years, as well as Preliminary Financial indicators for the current period,
  • Documentation for securing financing and financing collaterals determined by the Bank, in accordance with its business policy and depending on the client’s creditworthiness.
  • Other documents upon the Bank’s request in accordance with the Bank’s internal documents.

Required documentation for application of natural persons (craftsmen and self-employment):

  • Completed and certified Financing Application Form
  • Evidence on special-purpose use of financing funds (pro-forma invoice, invoice, Sales Agreement, certificate on the remaining debt)
  • Decision of authorized municipal body for the performance of activity
  • Copy of the Card of deposited signatures of persons authorized for representation
  • Specification on determining income from self-employment activity for the past two years
  • Certificate on Tax and VAT registration (if the activity is subject to taxes)
  • Copy of ID cards – owner of self-employment activity
  • Copy of Residence Certificate - owner of self-employment activity
  • Relevant document proving that the owner of self-employment activity has the real estate in its possession (apartment, house, land, business premise); Document proving the ownership – Land-Registry Certificate, Real estate Land Folio, Ownership document (only for those areas where land books are not established)
  • Other documents upon the Bank’s request in accordance with the Bank’s internal documents

Required documentation for the lien:

For offered security (pledge of movable and fixed assets), it is necessary to submit appraisal from the Court Expert (real estate appraisal must not be older than 6 months and it should be performed by a Certified Court Expert acceptable for the Bank), document proving the ownership (Land-Registry Certificate not older than 30 days) and copy of the Cadastral Plan.

Special value of the lien in relation to the amount of approved financing is determined in accordance with the Bank’s documents and depends on the amount of Financing Application Form and total client’s creditworthiness. Usual collateral types accepted by BBI Bank include:

  • Lien on real estates
  • Lien on equipment
  • Bills of exchange of the company
  • Personal bills of exchange of the owner of a company or craft
  • Agreement on assignation
  • Insurance policy secured in favour of BBI Bank
  • Other documents in agreement with the Bank
